Tanja started sailing at Lake Neusiedl when she was two and a half years old. From there, her great career began, during which she was able to win the ISAF Youth Worlds in the 420 in addition to numerous national championship titles. Her greatest achievement is the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games, which she won with Tom Zajac in the Nacra 17. In 2018 she won the silver medal at the worldchampionship in the 49FX and took part in the Tokyo Olympics. She is currently trying to qualify for her third Olympics, back in the Nacra17.
